The Main Speaker at CDS 1 was the Honorable Commissioner of Agriculture, Oyo State in the person of Hon. Peter Odetomi. He spoke on “Systems and Support for Agriculture”. He was the 2nd speaker.

The 1st Speaker of the Summit was Engr. Bola Olowe and presented on the topic “Starting a Business – What It Takes”. The 3rd speaker was the Director General of the IITA, Ibadan, Dr Kenton Dashiell. The feedback from the event was very good for a start. When asked to rate the Seminar, about 70% of the participants rated the Summit as being Good or Excellent.

About 32% of the participants listed the Commissioner as their best part of the Summit because of the interactions they had with him. When asked what part of the Summit was poorly done, 64% opined that “No part of the Summit” was poorly organized. A few participants mentioned the technical glitches that were experienced, while others said the Summit events did not flow well with the Summit Program timing.

Most of the participants heard about the Summit from Radio Interviews and Radio Jingles. Others heard from friends, family or were invited. The lowest avenue for awareness was through Fliers. But fliers are important in disseminating information about Speakers, Topics, Theme, Venue and Time.
